This graveyard has been a special place for me ever since the first time I visited several years ago. It brings me back in time to the rugged and harsh lives of the homesteaders and farmers that made a living on the prairie around the turn of the century. Some of the graves are nearly 100 years old and many are the graves of children of homesteaders. Others are family plots. Periodically, for special holidays, someone visits the graveyard and leaves flowers, teddy bears and other stuffed animals by the graves.
On this particular day in April, 2010, there was a strong wind that created interesting cloud patterns in the sky above the graveyard.
